In Your Element – Book Excerpt

In April of this year, I published my first book, In Your Element! This book is about manifestation and aligning with your Divine Path. It tell the story of my spiritual growth and how I’ve navigated my challenges using emotional intelligence and spiritual connection. This book is like my baby, it tells so much about the mental battle I have had within the journey of healing my traumas, rewiring the subconscious and putting stories that are not mine aside to uncover my true purpose. I turn this around in every chapter, to teach a lesson so that I can transmute this message further for you and inspire you to not be afraid of the healing journey ahead, but rather provide some insight.

THE CONCEPT OF PLAYING IT SMALL

In the spiritual development world, I’ve ran into the concept of “playing it small” many times.

“Why do you continue to play small?” “What’s keeping you from playing big?”

These questions confused me and rather irritated me! I fought with this question. For goodness sakes, I’m launching courses, writing books, running a podcast, doing collaborations. What the hell does that even mean, how am I possibly playing small, what else do you want from me?

I aspired to an online manifestation coach for a long time that made me confused by this. As her strategy was to be over the top, act like Kim Kardashian, dress extravagantly every single day and it led me to think, “is this what playing it big looks like?”

I just couldn’t play into it, no matter how hard I tried, it didn’t feel true to me. Within this process of trying on new things and eventually coming back to accepting myself as I am, I realized that this topic irritated me because I subconsciously was choosing not to accept what it meant to me.

Usually if something gets under your skin, it’s because y ou still have healing to do within the subject.

After a full day of much needed rest and disconnection from my phone, an intuitive hit came through to me. I was playing small in the belief in myself.

This realization turned this concept of playing it small around completely for me and has allowed me to teach it in ways that people can actually relate to. Rather than thinking they need to try so hard to be perceived as a #badbitch to achieve success.

You could be doing it all… but when someone asks you, “what have you been up to?” What do you say?

I caught myself inside of this as it happened, when I responded that I’m writing a book… how come it was this nonchalant energy? How come I was treating it like no big deal? Why did I feel weird talking to my family about what it’s all about?

Why did I feel fear around saying that I’m quitting my job and traveling to reconnect and align with my Element of inspiration that I believe will bring me happiness and therefore success? Why did I feel like I needed to justify it?

But most of all… why didn’t I instead feel empowered by these actions and decisions? They empowered me, but I knew they wouldn’t empower the people in my circle that are conditioned to the regular loop of 9-5, living for the weekends and paying your bills kind of life.

So I would play small. I wouldn’t talk about it much, I would play my big projects down a notch and within that, it made it grow slowly. This made big scary decisions even scarier and it made the very topics that I teach become something that I needed to prove to everyone around me.

So I would play small, again. In an environment that didn’t inspire me, with this longing to travel, this longing to move from my hometown. I longed for people that would have energetic response when I talk about how I’m doing big things in the world, but I also needed to believe that for myself before people could see it too.

Do you see how this seems to be this circle that leads you back to the same position you’ve always been in? Do you see how all this results in you playing small?

Playing small is the same concept that we often don’t want to accept. Clinging onto our current reality while trying to step into a new one and wondering why it hasn’t shown up already.

When you’re at the same job, the same home, the same town, the same friends, same relationship, same routine… same loop. If the reality you desire is far from this one, then you must supply the movement.

You must come into alignment with it all.

There are situations where your mindset and your energy are what needs to change… then there are times where you’re fighting everything but the physical action that is needed.

Playing small is like staying where you’re at, not making TOO big of a deal of the massive things you are creating in the world, because if you did then you’d have to truly believe it, truly step into all its magnificence and own your power!

You’d have to make all the decisions , take all the big leaps that are required of you. But this just where your expansive experience lies, on the other side of the resistance within you to play it small.

As I’m writing this to you, a friend of ours (my boyfriend and I) is in critical care… the doctors say he has zero chance.

To be honest, I wasn’t incredibly close with him, but we went out for drinks, had casino runs and lunch dates together a number of times. My boyfriend has known him since the 8th grade.

At 43, a sudden stroke, despite his relatively clean slate of health beforehand.

So why am I bringing you this grim news? Well, I believe that our friend was meant to teach the greatest lesson of all… that life is shot lived and unpredictable. That time is a gift, not a privilege.

It’s moments like these where the world stops for a minute and we tend to soak in moments deeper. When we begin to pay attention and gain presence in our lives.

It could have been anyone. It could have been me.

It’s these realizations that allow me to think deeper, “if my heart were to give out and move to the next life today… would I have fulfilled this life?”

Would you have said yes to more things, maybe said no to others? Would you have made the leap, done the scary thing, said “I love you” to that person or set that boundary with another? Would you have traveled to that place, taken that road trip, went on that adventure? Would you have started that business, written that book, shared that message?

It’s in these moments that I remind myself of one things… What are we waiting for? What are we waiting for to do the things that make us happy and fulfill our souls in this lifetime?

Or are we simply waiting to die? Are we simply waiting to start the next life, believe that it’s too late for us now?

We were put here with purpose, nothing is by accident and our callings are what we are meant to fulfill, no matter how “unrealistic” and no matter how scary.

We tend to fight them for so long and moments like these happen to shake and awake us to realize that this life is unpredictable, tomorrow is not guaranteed. We hear this so often and yet we never act upon the fact.

If you were to live your life as if tomorrow was not guaranteed, how would you live it? This is the life you were meant to live, simply because it calls you.

Would you start the youTube channel, the blog, the business, the coaching program, the mentorship, the book, the photography biz, travel to that place and the next place, do the dance class, paint the painting, start the Etsy shop or the physical shop? Would you record the song, start the family, cast for that movie or that modeling shoot, apply for that big job, talk to that person, set boundaries with another, say yes to the adventure?

Anything but… is playing it small. Not stepping into your callings, not stepping into what truly lights you up is playing it small.

How To Strategically Place Your Crystals In Your Home

When you first dive into the crystal life, you likely are to buy a bunch of small crystals of all different sorts because of all the excitement!

But after a while, when you’ve developed an understanding of how crystals and their energies work, you’ll find that your citrine really doesn’t pair well energetically with your aquamarine.

You’ll feel less of a need to buy a bunch of little crystals of all sorts of colors and more of a need to buy larger crystals that compliment another crystal well.

So to start you off, I want to give you some pointers as to which crystals to put in certain spaces of the home that you may be needing more aligned energy within.

The Bedroom –

Rose Quartz, Selenite and Amethyst pair phenomenally together in spaces such as the bedroom.

This is because these stones are subtle and soothing. Rose quartz is a stone for compassion, love within yourself. Amethyst will connect you further with your intuition and can supply you with lucid dreaming.

Selenite, I believe to be great for all spaces, as it is a negative energy diffuser, it charges other crystals within it’s environment and can provide a sense of peace and enlightenment.

Other great crystals for the bedroom are Scolecite, a strong promoter of good sleep. Moonstone, a feminine energy stone that can connect you to your feminine energy and promote calm.

Blue crystals such as blue lace agate and aquamarine can be good for the bedroom as well. Depending on the energy you wish to invoke. These crystals promote peace and tranquility as well as good communication.

Your Work Space –

Crystals that you wish to have in your work space depends on the kind of work you do within that space and the energy you wish to give it.

Vanadanite is a great stone for almost all work spaces, as it promotes the energy of productivity, accomplishing goals and is a root chakra balancing stone. The root chakra is all about stability, security and grounding.

Some other great stones for the work space are citrine, which has a strong energy related to creativity.

Smokey quartz is a powerful negative energy diffuser, great if any space may promote feelings of stress.

Living Spaces (Dining Room + Living Room) –

Common living spaces such as the dining room and living room, or wherever you seem to spend most of your time with friends and family, are often overlooked when it comes to placing crystals with purpose.

These places are important. Depending on which energy you’d like to promote, here are some crystal energy suggestions for these spaces.

Blue Chalcedony and Sodalite are both amazing stones for common living spaces where people tend to hang out. These crystals promote open communication, speaking your truth and joy.

Many blue crystals will promote peace and open communication, as it is a throat chakra balancer.

Powerful negative energy diffusers are great for these spaces as well, such as black tourmaline, shungite and black kyanite.

You can also place yellow stones, such as natural citrine and yellow sapphire to promote happiness!

Aqua Aura Quartz

I always recommend placing clear quartz throughout the home as well, as this amplifies the energy of crystals as well as diffusing negative energy throughout.

If you place your crystals within your home with intention, amplifying this energy is powerful.

You Are So Divinely Guided

I always believed that I already knew this fact about our world… I’d be the one saying, everything happens for a reason to others when they needed it. But only recently did has this truly enter my mind space in a whole new way.

I recently went to a small city in central Mexico, San Miguel De Allende. This trip had been planned for a very long time, I was doing a yoga teacher training with Sanadora Yoga.

It was the day that I was officially leaving that more and more news, bans and restrictions started to arise, regarding the Coronavirus. I stay informed on what is necessary for me to know on the news, though I refuse to fill my head with it all day long, as it’s all that is on social media and t.v, you might say I have not been present as much on these media’s, trying to not fill my head with unnecessary fear… just with the facts as I needed to know them.

So yes, I was aware that things were closing and bans were happening. I was informed of it all day long, the day that I was driving to the Seattle airport. Family members, friends and my yoga teacher herself, all concerned.

Right before I was leaving, I started to second guess myself. Though I have been excited about this trip, regarding the news all day!

The truth is I let everyone else’s worries get to me. They had every reason to worry… but I was reminded that their may have been a different underlying reason behind the fear I was experiencing while driving to Seattle.

I shut out all the noise from people trying to get me to turn around and not get on this plane. I asked myself, do I feel comfortable leaving the country? Do I feel comfortable being at the Seattle airport, on a plane?

Yes!

I absolutely did. So what was it exactly that was causing me to deliberate this decision?… It wasn’t COVID-19…

You see, the ego often knows when your going out of your comfort zone, it knows when your vibration is elevating and when your on the brink of great growth. And like the ego always does, it tries to keep you stable, stagnate, safe… and it often relates it to things in our physical realm so that it makes more sense to us.

We often confuse the ego with our intuition. But this was a time that challenged my ability to interpret the two.

The ego comes up in times of fear. Often when you are pondering on two different decisions, one is based more out of a concept of fear, and the other… a pure calling that may not make sense to anyone else.

So I went even deeper… what was a really scared of?

Up until this point, I didn’t consider myself intimidated to travel to Mexico alone, to train to be a yoga teacher, to produce content for Sanadora Yoga. I was jumping into several unknown territories… all that were getting me out of my comfort zone, all were new to me, all that honestly… scared me deep down, now that I was really tuning into it, now that I was on my way to the airport.

And this is exactly why I needed to do it. Too many times I had pushed away my Intuition, my Divine Guidance… and covered it up with all the reasons why not… the thing is, Divine Guidance is divine simply because it usually won’t make sense to anyone else… it is your unique path and no one else should feel such an obligation to walk it like you do.

And you don’t need to explain it to anyone or try to rationalize it… our guidance is beyond our logical minds… it is our magic.

Everything went a smoothly as it possibly could, traveling to Mexico. Getting on two different planes and an hour and a half shuttle to this beautiful city.

Once I got there I felt completely at home… even diving into something that has already been in the process for nearly six months, I connected with these amazing people so effortlessly, in such an intimate way filled with love and growth.

We practiced yoga, meditation and breath work for 8 hours a day. Teaching yoga for the first time was a first for me. Practicing inner work for so long was new for me… and it was exactly what I needed

My spiritual practices are amongst my highest priorities, but sometimes we fall off the bandwagon and get caught up with the world.

I was there for a short 3 days… I was dealing with more and more restrictions regarding COVID-19 in the US and also in Mexico. There was word of the border being closed, words of the Seattle Airport closing down. So I got on the phone to try to change my flight (it could only be done via phone) and was on hold for over two hours a day, unable to get ahold of anyone.

I remained calm… content. I honestly still felt safe. But the yoga training was postponed for a better time, so I took a shuttle to the airport and had to buy a completely separate ticket home.

Was I stressed or thinking negatively about this situation? No.

I knew that I was here for a reason… and that I was being called to go back for a reason.

You see, the Universe doesn’t consider your complications as a negative aspect… it only considers the lesson to be learned.

This beautiful city and deep inner work were calling to me and now that I am back home, quarantine, I still practice it for at least an hour and a half every day. In this time of limited distractions, staying home with minimal work, I’ve turned my energy inward and brought peace within all this madness.

Who knows how my two weeks would have been without this guidance… I wouldn’t be here sharing this experience and knowledge with you.

Make good use of your time at home, with family, with loved ones, animals, alone… whatever it may be. This is precious time that is honestly hard to come by these days. This is a time to slow down our minds, go inward, find peace, do the things that we always say we don’t have time for, write the book, start the website, play the guitar, cook gourmet meals, meditate for hours, whatever is being called to you.

Know that this time is meant for us, there is a lesson within everything. Even when everything seems to go wrong… you have the option to choose the fact that it is part of your Divine Guidance. Whether you got fired, your car broke down, your flight got cancelled, the store was closed… you can choose to see that as a part to play in your divine path.

And when something is calling to you and you can’t explain it, can’t explain why, can’t reason with it… know that, that is your Divine Guidance too and it’s not your job to reason with it. Your job is to trust it.

Sending love and my light to everyone out there being effected by this pandemic. For this who are home, I wish you health, safety and peace, for those ill, I wish you recovery and a prosperous life, for those passing, know that your moving onto your next, adventurous life.

New Moon Intention Candle Ritual

New Moon Bay Leaf Ritual

The new moon is always the most aligned time for setting new intentions to manifest into your life.

The moon affects our emotional energies and can impact our subconscious is ways we may still not understand. I like to call it our feminine energy (because the moon is a feminine sign).

This is why manifesting with the moon is so powerful and why I have a full two-week course to guide you through the process.

Based off the Law of Oneness, we are all connected and I fully believe that we are all made of the same energy found in the Universe and we are all magical.

Here is a new moon ritual to start manifesting a new intention into your life and connect to your magic a little deeper. 🙂


For this ritual, all you will need is –

A sage stick

A candle and something to light it

A paper and pencil

And a quiet, positive aura for your ritual

Please be sure to do this on the night of the new moon or one of it’s phases (the day before or day after).

Your Ritual –

Cleanse your space with your sage stick or palo santo to creative a positive aura for your ritual and deflect any negative energies.

Use your sage stick to also fully cleanse your candle of all negative energies. It’s important to not light your new intentions with any lingering energies within the object.

Sit down in your ritual space, turn off all the lights, surround yourself with any crystals or incense that you wish to and make sure you are in a quiet space.

Now take out your notebook and pencil and write down what it is that you want to manifest with this new moon intention candle. You can only choose one intention so make it powerful, make it meaningful.

Journal on why it is you want to manifest this, the feelings that this manifestation will give you and how it feels to be on your way towards it soon. Journal on anything that you need to let go of in able to achieve this manifestation.


After you are done journaling, meditate on those feelings for a while. You can choose to listen to a meditative music or sound frequency, or you can choose pure silence.

Visualize what you see your life being like once you’ve achieved this manifestation and the feelings that are associated with it. Create emotion behind this intention.


Once you’ve sparked some passion behind this manifestation, open your eyes and say outloud to yourself, something along the lines of –

“I fully commit myself to achieve _________. I accept to put this intention out into the Universe, act upon it and allow the Universe to take over. I am excited for what’s to come with this new intention and I let go anything that may be in my way from achieving this goal. I know that this intention is on my way and it will come to me in divine timing.”

After you are done, light your candle. Light it with intention, your are lighting your manifestation into fruition.


Now, don’t ever blow this candle out… Keep this candle lit until it fully goes out on it’s own. Blowing out your candle is you blowing out your intention. If you worried about safety, put it in the sink or bath tub when you are away.

When you are around, put it in a place that you can see, to remind you of this manifestation seeping out into the world.

And when this candle finally goes out, trust that the Universe has received your request and will come to you in divine timing.

How To Manifest Travel

When you ask people what they want to manifest most into their lives, it seems that travel is among the top two, probably about even with money.

And I wont lie… I’m right there with you. I have had a DYING desire to travel for as long as I can remember. It seems it is my souls calling and I manage to make it happen while still maintaining a full-time 8-5 office job.

I used to think I needed a different type of job to travel often, like a remote job of some sorts but the truth is that was the exact thought that kept me from traveling in the first place. It was my own thoughts in my own way. Always thinking that I would travel SOME DAY.

Matching The Vibration Of Travel – AKA Freedom

The first step in anything manifestation, is realizing that you have manifested every aspect of your current life. That means if your not traveling, you manifested that… and you can also choose to manifest travel instead.

The most efficient way to manifest quickly is by using the Law of Vibration. This is one of the twelve Universal Laws that states everything has it’s own vibration. Everything in our world is vibrating energy at it’s core. Each is unique.

Emotions share a vibration as well, low vibrations are feelings such as sadness and depression, high vibrations are feelings of excitement and happiness.

It is these vibrations that open or close doors for us in the metaphysical world.

Dig deep and figure out what is it that drives you to travel, what is the feeling that travel gives you?

Usually this is a feeling of freedom… so to open up the energetic doors that match with the vibration of freedom, you need to make an extra effort to feel the feelings of freedom as much as you can NOW.

What is it that makes you feel free? Maybe it’s cruising around town with no destination with your windows down. Maybe it’s having a dance party in your living room when no one is around.

When you match the high vibrations of freedom in your life, you become a magnet for that feeling. Meaning that doors will open for travel in your life that may have never been there before.

You must do things that make you a little scared in able to move energy around in the Universe and prove that you are ready.

So now that we’ve covered the emotions you need to feel in able manifest travel. Let’s talk about the more physical action because I feel this portion is often missed.

Here’s the thing… the Universe responds to your decisions. If a door opens up for you to travel, you must say yes!

Sometimes taking a leap of faith to travel may be scary, your ego may pitch in and try to say that your not ready, that you don’t have the finances, that you have no one to go with, that there’s no way you’ll find the time off of work, that you have no one to watch your cat!

This is when you step outside of your monkey mind and realize that, that is your ego talking. Your ego wants to keep you stagnate, safe and comfortable… but you cannot create any sort of change in your reality if you don’t put out a different energy for the Universe to play with.

I always remind myself that if I am feeling a little scared and a little uncomfortable… to embrace that feeling because it is this exact feeling that brings growth.

If you say no to your first opportunity for travel… it will be a long time before you find it again. Why? Because you told the Universe no. You told the Universe you weren’t ready.

You must make travel a RULE of your life. You must make freedom a RULE of your life.

To be honest… if you get your $1000 pay check, pay your bills, have $400 left over and blow it on makeup, clothes, getting your nails done and snacks… then you are not energetic match to travel. Your an energetic match to more makeup, clothing, ect., because that is exactly the energy you have put out.

AKA, if it’s not a priority, it wont pop out of thin air, that’s not what manifestation is all about.

Manifestation is about being OBSESSED with the thing you want to manifest, and putting every energy towards it, so that the Universe has no choice but to hand it to you.

Keep up to date on all things manifestation + spirituality

I have managed to manifest several trips around the world while still managing my 8-5 job because I AM OBSESSED.

Travel is an energetic minimum to me, it’s all I think about. It’s all over my vision board, I research travel all the time, look up new destinations, watch documentaries and YouTube videos on travel constantly.

I’ve went on trips when it’s scary, spent every last dime to travel and camped in a van while doing it… but it’s gotten easier as I’ve gone. As I continue to tell the Universe that I am more than ready, it becomes easier to manifest.

I find cheap flights, meet people that own property in places, make connects that are willing to collaborate and I tell my job way ahead of time to make sure there are no hiccups.

A lot of the time, I do these things before I’ve even booked the flight? Why? Because I have already DECIDED THAT IT WILL HAPPEN REGARDLESS. And that shit is powerful!

Do I want to travel even more? ABSOLUTELY! But it is important to not get impatient and begin to focus on what you don’t have… because this confuses the Universe to give you just that.

Another thing that can block you from manifesting travel is spiting on people that are already currently doing so.

If you see all these amazing videos and pictures of people traveling the world, instead of feeling envious, you must bless those people and send them love and positive energy.

Why? Because if you put out a negative emotion towards someone that has what you want to manifest, your correlating that negative energy with travel and the Universe and you are no longer an energetic match to it.

Always be in energetic alignment with the feelings that travel gives you.

Manifestation is an art… and it’s important to start understanding how it works, as it is based around the Laws of the Universe. Whether you understand them or not, they are creating the world around us and constantly in action.

I hope that I’ve inspired you to make that trip that has been scaring you… because when you put trust in the Universe, it rewards you greatly.

Full Moon Crystal Water Manifestation Ritual

We have a very special full moon coming up, the first super moon of the new decade!

This moon is called a super moon because the moon will appear extraordinarily large! Which means lots of moon energy and the perfect time for crystal charging and rituals!

Here is a powerful ritual I created for this full moon –

For this ritual, you must have purified water (from a river, lake, rain or another foraging type of natural water would be amazing, but if not, regular purified water will do.)

You will fill up two glasses with this water and put tourmaline crystals in one glass (a powerful negative energy diffuser) and 1-3 miscellaneous crystals in the other. These crystals must correlate with what you want to manifest.

For example –

Red crystals – security, independence, stability

Orange crystals – creativity, sexuality

Yellow crystals – zest for life, overall happiness

Green or pink crystals – self-love and love for others + nature

Blue crystals – sense of peace and to speak your truth

Purple crystals – intuition and physical abilities

Magenta or white crystals – Higher consciousness, enlightened self

Be sure to cleanse your glass and crystals before hand with sage or palo santo, as well as your home to clear out negative energy for the next few days.

This full moon is on Saturday, so I recommend leaving your water with tourmaline out in the nearly full moon light the night before (Friday night.)

Sit down and meditate to a negative energy cleansing sound frequency, this one has been my current favorite.

Meditate on the things that you want to leave behind, what is it that this charged crystal water will rid of your body, what is it in your mind and spirit that must be removed?

In the morning, drink your tourmaline crystal water, this washes away negative energy in the body, wiping it clean of any low vibrations and starting new.

Meditate to the same sound frequency and take a moment to visualize in your mind, the physical action of this negative energy leaving your body. Feel the emotions that go along with leaving these things behind. How do you feel now that you no longer have this emotion holding you back?

Do not forget that you have rid this energy from you body as you go out on your day. Do not go back to old habits that bring this low frequency back into your aura.

Stay up to date on all things manifestation + spirituality

That night, place your purified water and manifestation crystals out in the super full moon light.

Meditate on what it is that you intend to manifest with this charged crystal water the next morning. Put your powerful intention into this ritual cleanse. You can listen to a sound frequency to raise your vibration. This one is my current favorite. You can choose to listen to this while you sleep as well.

The next morning, drink your manifestation crystal charged water slowly. Listen to your sound frequency and meditate as your drinking the water. Envision your new life with this new manifestation. Envision the energy seeping into your body, into your blood stream, into your energy, effecting your vibration, you auric field.

This is what brings the manifestation to you. You are literally drinking in energy charged vibrations that correlate with your manifestation.

Feel the feelings that go along with having your manifestation being on it’s way to you right now. This is the first step.

I will be drinking citrine charged water to raise my energetic vibration of my solar plexus to keep my happiness levels high and manifest more effectively throughout the month. 🙂

My Daily Routine For The Soul

About a year ago, I started thinking about my life in a completely different way; to notice the positive things in life and realize that they overcame the negative. I chose to be grateful for all the little things instead of complaining about all the small things that weren’t going my way.

At first, this wasn’t entirely easy to switch my mindset overnight, it took practice just like any other thing. But turning my mindset around was the best decision I’ve ever made and it has allowed me to see so much clearer and with such gratefulness.

One thing that I started doing when I first decided to think of life differently, still sticks with me to this day and I would love to share it with you all. 🙂

Wholesome Culture

I began practicing meditation in my every day life, it didn’t matter how much time I had before work, whether it was two minutes or thirty minutes, it was better than not practicing at all.

Sit yourself down in a quiet space, where you will not be interrupted. I like to surround myself with crystals, candles and incense (though it is not necessary) and meditated for a few minutes to begin to slow your mind. Afterwards, keep your eyes closed and name all the things that you are grateful for.

Don’t overthink this part, you will soon start to realize that you are grateful for so much, that the list is endless, this is the point. I found myself saying I was grateful for my cup of coffee and just another day to be alive and healthy. Other things I say is that I am grateful for my job and to live in a home, to have loving friends, family and animals.

Name these things until the feeling of positivity starts to sink in, when naming things to be grateful for doesn’t seem like a chore anymore, but rather something joyous.

After this, state the qualities of yourself and of the day that you want, but stating them in a way of how your day is already played out to be.

Sometimes I’ll say, “May I carry positivity throughout my day, may I attract all the good things in life. May I spread light to others. I am strong, confident and positive.”

Affirmation Cards

Sometimes I would go on for longer, sometimes it would be shorter, but try to switch up what you say so that it stays genuine and does not become a routine and lose it’s meaning.

Depending of the time you have set out, you can also send light out to others. You can call it praying for others, but I believe that when you send your light out to others, your light burns even brighter. Send your light out to those you wish to that day, knowing that it will find it’s way back to you.

Afterwards, meditate and leave your thoughts behind you, clear your mind to begin your day. Once you feel at peace, reach your arms up high, gather up the energy within your powerful aura you just created and bring your hands together in Namaste.

Practice this regularly and if you will think of your life with much more positivity than you had previously. I sometimes would do this twice a day, it drug me out of a situation where I felt a disconnect with the world and myself and was very unhappy. Therefore, this practice is sacred to me.

The Art Of Contentment

I think that the time someone sets aside for their peace of mind says a lot about a person.

Too often do I hear people complain day to day about how stressful their lives are, for all sorts of different reasons. And yet, I don’t see anyone making a change in able to lessen that stress.

Maybe they think it’ll solve itself, maybe they think they’re hopeless. Or maybe it’s because stress has quit literally become a habit of mankind.

You see, when you continually complain and talk about your stressful life, you just feed off that negative energy, you expect that it’s already there and will be for a long time, so of course it will be.

I challenge you to take a simple ten minutes out of your day, whether before bed or in the morning, to practice meditation. Too often do people cast aside activities they may not understand, it seems people are scared by silence and peace of mind, as if they’re scared to end their habits, they don’t know how to not somehow complain, it’s like cracking your knuckles every day. We’re constantly thinking of our problems, our past or futures; we’re thinking about what we plan on doing next, after reading this post and what you have planned next week, probably the next time you work. I am still working towards fixing this mindset.

I challenge you to sit down, lay down, whatever makes you feel comfortable and practice the art of contentment. Meditation is an art of contentment with yourself and drawing energy from mother earth into the very energy within you. Though you don’t need to believe the beliefs of Buddhism to benefit from their practices.

As you settle your mind down and you sit there, alone, undisturbed and completely quiet, there you are. Every struggle and stress in your life settles, nothing else exists or matters besides this silence and this you’re well-being.

Keep in mind that you must be open to change in able to allow it into your spirit, this is not a mindset that you can fake.

I used to think all day about what I had to do at 4 p.m., think about dinner plans before dinner, think about what happened yesterday, about whether I should do the dishes now or wait until after lunch, if I should write right now or later tonight with a cup of tea.

Meditation has allowed my life to stand still for a while. For time to go by slowly without the stressful rush of the mind; time to soak in every second fully and truly appreciate the little moments life is made of.

I urge you to light a candle or two and challenge your mind to stand still for a while; practice being content in that moment for a while, accept that everything is as it is and begin to focus on the overlooked wonders such as your very own breathing and heart beating, and become more intact with your higher self.

When you achieve full meditation, it will appear obvious to you. You will feel at peace, without a thought in your mind, you are utterly in that moment and no place else, restricted by no boundaries of the physical self, but are letting your spirit free.

Currently, in America the attention paid to our spirit is lacking, the initial belief in the spirit is also lacking. People have trouble believing something that they don’t already understand and so refuse it completely, many people dislike change.

With practicing meditation, I have realized that I don’t need to stress out about the bills I can’t pay, the negativity around me or any problems at all, because outside of material things, my body is fine, in this present moment I hear my breath and I am fine, I am alive; everything else is as it is and the universe will figure all the tiny details out.

I will attach some guided meditations at the bottom of this page that are perfect for beginners that I used in my early stages of meditation as well.
